This Saturday: Annual Seal Harbor Library Fair, August 2nd, 9-12

Up next: Annual Seal Harbor Library Fair

A fundraiser fair for the library, on the green, overlooking Seal Harbor beach.

Sounds like a dreamy location, right? It is, folks. When Martha Stewart has a cottage here in this tiny village bordering Acadia, you know the secret’s out, it’s glorious. Come see for yourselves and shop the local talent. Saturday, August 2nd

A teaser list of local vendors

worthygoods | I’ll be so excited to see you there, folks for what might be the fifth year running. I’ve got lots of new super-sized Over the Top sun hats for the ladies and lots of little shady toppers for kiddos. Plus some sari silk bangles, fiber baubles for your ears, neck and wrists.

Amphitrite Studio | Katrina Napolitan designs a line of modern, fluid and effortless women’s wear. Eco-concious and stylish tops, dresses, skirts and accessories.

One Woman Studio | Julia Ventresco upcycles burlap, sail cloth, feed sacks, grain bags, lumber wrap and more into smart totes, messenger bags, zip bags and more.

Nykki Makes | Nykki sews, crochets, embroiders and knits all sorts of home goods, accessories and decor. Find pillowcases, drawstring bags, washcloths and baby items, too.

River Wind Woolies | Robin is a serious felter, folks. She’s going to upgrade your ball jar coffee mug with a cover, straw and wet-felted, tight-fitting cozy to keep that bev hot or cold. You’ll also find felted wristers, hair ties and more.

Nora Flanagan Quilts | Nora’s quilts are both modern and traditional. Cleverly detailed appliqué’s of the Maine coast and woodlands make a perfectly cozy lap quilt something you might rather hang on your wall. When it’s not wrapped around your knees in January, of course.

Fiori Olive Oils | Pat from Fiori will be on hand to encourage sampling of their many flavored olive oils and vinegars. Because when the fair’s over it’ll be lunchtime. Then you’ll just need to find yourself a bottle of artisan wine, craft cheese and some crusty bread. Yum, right?

Iris Designs | Laura will be showing bright beaded necklaces and earrings in a variety of styles.

Finding the Seal Harbor Library Fair

Here’s the Google Maps link for the Seal Harbor Library so you can plan your drive, bike ride or Island Explorer free shuttle ride, take the Jordan Pond Loop and it’ll drop you right at Seal Harbor Beach. A great place to let your family entertain themselves while you shop, or play in the sand and have a picnic lunch after the fair and take in this scenery. Or move on to the more exclusive Directions fair by the Maine Crafts Guild at MDI High School.

 See you there!

I'm tickled to hear from you.
